Summer Camp Counselor

Spend your summer vacation having fun and being a kid again!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick is looking for Camp Staff for the upcoming season. Camp Counselors Provide leadership and supervision; insure health, safety and general well-being of school age children in a camp environment. Implement and maintain a high quality, well-rounded, fun-filled program. At our summer camp, we create positive experiences for campers.

Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age and pass necessary background clearances and drug testing -Experience working with children ages 5-13

We have 2 summer programs we will be staffing for:

Traditional Day Camp - Oakland Beach Branch

Camp will run M-F 730am-6pm at our Oakland Beach Branch. Campers will rotate through activities throughout the day including Water Play, Sports & Games, Arts, STEAM and more. Fieldtrips and trips to swimming weekly. Camp staff will be responsible for a group of campers and for planning and implementing activities throughout the day

STEAM Camp – Norwood Branch

Camp will run M-F 9am-3pm with extended care in the am and pm hours (7:30-9/3-6pm) at the Norwood Branch. This camp will infuse elements of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) into all activities and field trips. Camp staff will be responsible for a group of campers and planning and implementing activities throughout the day.

Start Date - Training Dates TBA in June

Potential to start earlier in our After School Programs and continue through the fall

Hours: 35 hours per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
