Skills / Qualifications Needed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (nationalcprfoundation.com)
• CNA preferred but not a deal breaker.
• Have experiance in home care.
• A high level of language and communication skills to deal with DSPs confidently and courteously. They must use positive language to work towards a speedy and positive resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Reflect the core values of Black Pearl Home Care
• Build relationships with our DSPs to ensure they are executing the tasks on the POC for the clients.
• Schedule pop ins visits on the DSPs in the clients homes to help the CRS if busy
• Cover any needed/call outs shifts by the CRS/Agency Director
• Personal care/companion care duties
• Perform any and all other duties deemed necessary for the success of Black Pearl Home Care

Work Environment

The primary work environment for the DSP support will be an "on call" type of position. You will assist and step in when the CRS needs you too for shifts, pop in visits on DSPs and clients.

Essential Functions: With or without reasonable accommodations, must be physically and mentally able to perform the following essential functions:

• Sufficient hearing and clarity of speech to enable employee to communicate with client(s), coworkers and management.
• Sufficient vision or powers of observation to note and report changes in client(s) physical or mental status.
• Sufficient vision or powers of observation to read and understand written materials in a variety of formats, i.e., electronic, hard copy, email, text message.
• Sufficient personal mobility, manual dexterity and physical reflexes to enable the employee to assist clients with 1) activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, lifting and transferring, etc.), 2) instrumental activities of daily living (cooking, cleaning, housekeeping, shopping, errands, etc.) and 3) transportation to and from appointments and other locations as requested.
