Overview:
By Light is seeking a System Administrator to be part of the internal service organization Print Administration team. While cross-trained in many areas, this position is primarily devoted to administering the print environment.
Responsibilities:
The system administrator will support Data Center Operations throughout the transfer and transition of IT systems, assets, and applications.Responsibilities include:
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configures and manages Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
- Meet or exceed DoD 8570.1 requirements as follows: Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II which consists of either: Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP
- Posess a certification from any one of the following: ACAS, Brocade, Cisco, Dell, F5, FireEye, HBSS, HPE, IBM, Linux, McAfee, NetAPP, Oracle, Palo Alto, Splunk, Symantec, Tanium, VMWare, or Windows
- Windows Server Hardening
- Server Infrastructure and Virtualisation
- Server Virtualisation
- Windows Operating Systems
- F5 and Palo Alto a plus
- Secret Security Clearance required
- Travel required
