Systems Engineer Level II
Job Summary
The Systems Engineer Level II is expected to have a strong foundation in systems infrastructure
concepts, and individual areas of expertise within a given technology stack. Solid understanding of
network fundamentals and how virtualized networks are deployed. Development of scripts for use with
automation, installation, configuration, and analysis within an enterprise server environment.
The ideal candidate is skilled in performing high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and
creating preventive measures while interfacing with clients and internal personnel as needed. Ideal
candidates will possess hands-on experience supporting all levels of local and remote users in small to
large sized companies that employ a wide variety of software, hardware, and peripheral equipment. Team
members are self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. To be successful in this role the
engineer will need to have the ability to learn to support infrastructure across a variety of technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure
- Attention to detail

- Monitor system operation to detect potential problems
- Configure servers to meet functional specifications
- Perform or consult on operating systems, network or application software, or computer or network

- Recommend changes to improve computer or information systems
- Provide technical updates to managers and customers during implementation and troubleshooting
- Own the responsibility of your work by ensuring statuses are kept current, documentation is clear,
- Solid ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and end-users; by providing
- Operate as an escalation point for Help Desk/NOC team and able to provide support and resolution
- Ability to travel to customer or other Atomic sites; must own a reliable vehicle
- Must have a proven ability to determine workable solutions to complex problems in a timely manner
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of experience in Engineering,
