About the Role:
EGT, a Tetra Tech Company and Washington Post Top Workplace, is looking for a Systems Engineer to support various desktop operating systems and applications related configurations or customizations, which includes defining, creating, and maintaining desktop security standards. You will provide technical support for operating system and application configuration related issues and documentation support for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the environment. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for system administration, Active Directory administration, and computer support services.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support with migrations, network connectivity, security and database applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain backup/recovery client and server software in Windows 2007 operating system.
  • Resolve network connectivity problems and remote desktop connectivity problems.
  • Work on Microsoft Products such as Active Directory, FTP, IIS, .Net, DHCP and DNS.
  • Involve in Performance tuning, Optimization, Data integrity and Statistics by using SQL Profiler.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer/Engineering related. Master's degree with 2 years or Bachelors degree w
  • 5+ years of work experience.
  • Position requires experience in systems & network administration, disaster recovery, performance tuning, optimization, data integrity & statistics.
  • Technical skills in VMWare, Virtual Center; Object Oriented Programming (OOPs); Operating Systems (Linux, UNIX & Windows), SQL Profiler, SSRS, SSIS
  • This position requires a badge and/or clearance that requires an extensive background check.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using ServiceNow
  • Experience using SCCM
  • Experience supporting and trouble-shooting VPNs.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing GPO settings.
  • Experience trouble-shooting crashes on Windows workstations.
