The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure, reliable, and accessible to users. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Systems Administrator may also be involved in other areas of IT operations, such as network administration, database management, application support, virtualization, and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a minimum of 1 year of work experience and general background in Azure AD, SharePoint Online, and Office365 admin center, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in AD, Domain Controllers, Windows Server 2016, Cisco Meraki, and Hyper-V. This role is for remote work with the possibility to travel to the company’s physical offices (Washington, D.C., New York, NY, Chicago, IL, and Atlanta, GA) to provide on-site support when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain cloud-based and on-premises IT infrastructure, including AD, Domain Controllers, Windows Server 2016, Cisco Meraki, Hyper-V, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, and Office365 admin center.
- Manage user accounts and access controls, including security settings, group policies, and synchronization with on-premises directories.
- Monitor system performance, respond to system alerts and issues, and troubleshoot technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide Level 3 technical support to users, including responding to help desk tickets, resolving technical issues, and providing training and guidance as needed.
- Plan and implement upgrades and migrations, including the deployment of patches, updates, and new software.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations, including the implementation of disaster recovery plans and testing.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks and implement security policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methods to improve system performance, security, and productivity.
- Create and maintain system documentation and procedures, including user guides, technical specifications, and project plans.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience in Azure AD, SharePoint Online, and Office365 admin center, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in AD, Domain Controllers, Windows Server 2016, Cisco Meraki, and Hyper-V.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant Associate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified, Security Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+, or Azure Administrator Associate.
- Experience in a related IT role, such as help desk support or network administration.
- Strong technical skills in Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Office365 admin center, AD, Domain Controllers, Windows Server 2016, Cisco Meraki, and Hyper-V.
- Experience in managing spam filters platforms (Abnormal Security) and backup solutions (Rubrik).
- Basic knowledge of MFA solutions (Cisco DUO in particular).
- Basic knowledge of conferencing applications (Zoom Meetings, Zoom Rooms, Teams, and Cisco WebEx).
- General understanding of AI and Automation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems with critical deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in IT infrastructure.

The anticipated salary range for this position will be $75-100K. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
