Job Responsibilities:
This position maintains and optimizes server hardware, operating systems and application software to maximize the availability, performance of business applications and services. The position will work closely with other information system areas to analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES AND AUTHORITY
Install, configure and maintain server hardware and software.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, application, and network connectivity issues.
Maintain server environments to maximize availability and performance.
Maintain software service packs and patches for assigned systems.
Update and resolve helpdesk request/incidents per established procedures.
Respond and report on project specifications.
Research and report root cause analysis regarding hardware and software applications.
Communicate with vendors for problem resolution as needed.
Document procedures.
Create and estimate project task lists.
Maintain competent knowledge of systems, procedures, and relationships within the company; and maintain technical knowledge through continuing education and training efforts.
Comply with the Certified Fleet Operation requirements of the Company Driving and Safety Policy.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two-year degree or above in technical related field.
Two-year degree or above in technical related field.
Strong ability to develop working process.
Strong communications ability to coordinate efforts between multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong ability to quickly learn new and challenging systems to implement and support for internal and external customers.
Strong understanding of networking concepts.
Strong decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills, face new problems, open to change.
Experience with software development.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
Experience monitoring multiple subsystems and their performance.
Strong understanding of open source software usage and licensing.
Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.

Occasionally work long, irregular hours.
Provide after hours problem resolution when required.
Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
Travel, as required.
