Job description
Responsible for filing accurate and timely tax reports and remitting the proper amount due to the appropriate governmental agency while ensuring that all deadlines are met or exceeded. Leads communications with internal service partners and governmental agencies to resolve filing exceptions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume responsibility for all tax filing and depositing duties
- Files assigned taxes under limited supervision and coordinates with internal service partners on exceptions found during filing
- Creates and maintains an up-to-date list of all clients filed within their assigned filing type
- Maintain semi-monthly, monthly and quarterly tax filing documents for review
- Run appropriate tax audits for use in completing tax returns
- File all tax returns with appropriate tax authority
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Paycom personnel and management
- Provides scripted client communication as needed and assists internal departments with client communication or support
- Research, track, and resolve tax issues as needed
- Responsible for assisting Paycom management with special projects as needed
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Experience in Accounting Payroll or Data Entry
Skills/Abilities:
- Detail oriented
- Well organized
- Cooperative and able to effectively work on a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to use computer applications, printers, copier, fax machine and telephone
- Intermediate computer skills in Excel, MS Office Suite, Outlook and Web-based Platforms
- Ability to perform research and effectively solve problems
- Ability to build trust and collaborative relationships
- Data entry, reconciliation, problem solving, strong communication skills, customer-oriented, critical thinking, risk management
