Salary: $61,360.00 - $74,880 annually based on experience/qualifications

The Technical Service Representative position requires an Associate’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience or training in engineering, sales, or technical service. An extensive working knowledge of electrical systems, electrical trouble-shooting experience, and mechanical aptitude is essential. Familiarity with a 24-hour-per-day manufacturing process, preferably in the plastics or paper industry plus a willingness to gravel globally with extended visits of two-to-three weeks possible.

The Technical Service Representative is primarily responsible for field installation and maintenance of CMD equipment for new and existing customers. This includes installation and start-up in customer plants, and development and implementation of a customer training program sufficient to assure continued production and customer satisfaction after the field technician leave the customer site. The Technical Service Representative will make routine service trips to customer facilities, troubleshoot equipment problems, keep detailed notes, recommend, and implement corrective action, and distribute trip reports to the appropriate people.

When not traveling, The Technical Service Representative provides technical phone support to CMD customers during CMD business hours, documents phone activity in CMD’s ERP system, and follows up with customers to verify resolution of problems. This position will provide 24-hour technical assistance to customers through after hours support function.
