General Summary of Position:

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and updating content relating to Granite Advanced Data Services & Products (Granite Guardian, Granite Merged Voice, etc.) Working collaboratively with internal teams, the SSM Technical Writer will work on the production of technical documentation for the Solutions Success and Solutions Engineering teams. The SSM Technical Writer will spearhead training and answering questions from Employees regarding department documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain library of documentation, both internal and external, pertaining to Granite’s products and services including detailed product requirement documents, product briefs, manuals, and internal forms to collect customer data.
  • Meet with subject matter experts to ensure that Granite product parameters are properly captured and appropriately addressed in the documentation.
  • Analyze all provided information for the development and/or update of internal policies, procedures.
  • Documents and archives technical data over long periods in an efficient, established method to aid in future related projects.
  • Creates material and provides training of portals to new internal employees so they can present a more streamline customer experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in writing complete, complex technical documents, including organizing the document and working with internal and external personnel is required
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint is required
  • The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of VoIP concepts
  • Knowledge of basic Networking (Routing and Switching) concepts and terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous Telecom experience is preferred but not required

· N+ Certification preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
