Job Summary
Test proctors are responsible for proctoring and administering tests offered in the Biggio Center Testing Services department. They are responsible for proctoring and administering tests to groups and individuals while maintaining a quiet atmosphere for testing. Proctors are required to follow standard testing protocols as required by Auburn University faculty and commercial test vendors.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

Essential Functions
- Administering and proctoring a variety of tests by following guidelines and standards.
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of all tests, testing procedures, and student/client information.
- Maintains familiarity with databases and testing software used by the center.
- Serves as a testing administrator, adhering to proctoring requirements, incident handling and reporting.
- Assists test-takers for the duration of the testing process to include check-in, computer start up, and assisting with any problem which may arise during the exam.
- Works collaboratively with others to accomplish functions and responsibilities.
- May provide clerical support functions; such as test registration activities, copying, running reports, faxing, and exam delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of customer service, clerical, academic or commercial testing experience.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to work 20-30 hours a week when classes are in session with extended hours during busy times such as peak loads, midterms and final exams.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, and write legibly in English.
- Must be organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to explicitly follow oral and written instructions.
