The Repair Test Technician at Actalent will act as the test cell lead for projects of moderate to high complexity in the testing and development of Power Generation units. It is expected that the Repair Test Technician will execute testing activities, evaluate/diagnose/fix failed units, read schematics, drive root cause analysis, complete test cell improvement tasks, lead test cell improvement projects, and present results/conclusions to the customer with minimal supervision. The Repair Test Technician will also function as a specialist with respect to a specific technical phase of the planning function and which generally falls within the major areas of releasing, Numerical Controls (NC) programming, processing, assembly processing, layout, work standards, and manufacturing development.

DUTIES:

You will be assigned to assemble and support testing of prototype vehicles from the ground up, starting from the frame rails. They may be bolting on brackets, installing wiring and cabling, or working with engineers to problem solve, troubleshoot, etc. By the end of every day, they should be able to see advancement in their respective builds. The environment is a shop, where they will be working onsite with a collaborative team of engineers and technicians.

We are looking for someone with an electrical background. Yes we are coupling a diesel engine with an alternator, but where a majority of my problems come from is our Control Panel and all the wiring that goes with the system. We need someone with a strong background in electrical repair and diagnosing. Top candidates will have that electrical repair experience with Power Generators.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
