Job description
Seeking LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW with management experience for Dedicated Military Specialty Program Manager or Director. Preferred military or Veteran experience, either direct or indirect. Preferred experience working with trauma focused therapies to include Cognitive Processing Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and/or EMDR. Population served is active-duty and veterans in a dedicated military specialty setting treating PTS, substance disorders, and general psych. Involves managing program clinicians, providing direction, coordination, and implementation of specific military and Veteran programming and related treatment.
Your Job as a Military Unit Therapist:
This position is to be a part of a Unit working with America's heroes--including active duty and veterans. This experience will be like none other; the candidate will be trained in military culture and help our patients build their life back together. Through therapy and your keen understanding of military culture, you can be the one to help the patient be independent and thrive in their community.
Essential Functions as a Military Unit Therapist:
- Providing assessment, interventions, treatment planning, and discharge planning, as well as providing individual, family, and group therapy to further patient/family/group progress in treatment.
- Facilitating substance abuse and trauma groups with the active duty/veteran populations. This position will allow the opportunity for employees to complete chemical dependency assessments, offer community resources, and family education to support our patients during their recovery.
- Employing a variety of cognitive, behavioral, and insight-oriented modalities of treatment.
- Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team, supporting each unit’s treatment program, assuring the deliverance of quality and consistently excellent treatment to patients and their families
Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a therapist in Mental Health, preferably with trauma/substance use focus or with military active duty/veterans.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
