Job Title: TIG Welder
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85040
Duration: Direct Hire- Permanent Staff Position
Payrate: $21/hr. - $40/hr. (Depending on Experience)
Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 AM - 3 PM)

Job Description:
Responsible for fabricating and welding high tolerance aerospace components. Work closely with Engineering and peers to efficiently produce high quality parts. Critical and Problem-Solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Precision TIG welding on various materials (Tubing, Sheet, Machined details etc.) and thickness “s varying from .020'-.125'
- Perform TIG welding utilizing a rotary table
- Perform fitting/fabrications of assemblies which include sizing, scribing, and grinding
- Repair some of his or her own parts.
- Regularly evaluate his/her own product quality for continuous improvement.
- May perform auto machine welding, spot-welding, seam-welding, poke tacking and braze preparation.
- Complete routine and some advanced TIG welding tasks while applying standard practices.
- Properly prepare weld surfaces.
- Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, weld schedules, drawings and documents.
- Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
- May train others on prior job experience.
- Work under limited oversight.
- Meet or exceed operations standards for efficiency.
- Know when to stop and find appropriate interpretation when necessary.
- Regular and acceptable punctuality and attendance.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment at all times while on the manufacturing floor.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Successfully complete the TIG weld training program and/or have equivalent experience.
- Ability to TIG weld aerospace components comprised of Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Alloys.
- Ability to TIG weld materials .020'-.125'
- Ability to consistently produce X-Ray/ FPI quality welds
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Basic knowledge of AWS D17.1
- Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.
- Capable of inspecting a broad variety of parts.
