Job Title: Gift Shop and On Board Train Attendant

Location: Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad at Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum

Job Type: Part-Time (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with additional days as necessary

Salary: $18-$21 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused individual to fill the position of Gift Shop and On Board Train Attendant at Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad. This role involves working in the gift shop and riding on the train throughout the day to assist guests with ticketing and merchandise purchases.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a point of sale system to process guest purchases
• Track inventory levels and perform restocking duties as necessary
• Assist guests with merchandise purchases and provide excellent customer service
• Ticket guests for train rides, including checking them in and selling tickets
• Ride the train most of the day, providing guests with information and assistance as needed
• Move boxes of merchandise onto and off of the train
• Maintain a clean and organized gift shop and train car

Requirements:

• Must be able to operate a point of sale system
• Must be able to lift and move boxes of merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Must be available to work weekends and additional days as needed
• Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
