Transfer Box Truck Driver

To that purpose, we are committed to providing our customers with an easy and fun furniture shopping experience. The Transfer Box Truck Driver is critical in ensuring we meet that goal. This person is responsible for executing a daily operation of visiting the Chicago Market and collecting weekly clearance delivery.

Some of the functions the Delivery Driver will perform:

· Embodies our values: Serve Others and Own It

· Drives furniture truck in Chicago Market in a safe and responsible manner

· Loads/Unloads furniture in truck with the utmost care

· Contacts managers regarding pick-up at their stores

· Acts in a professional and courteous manner at all times, represents the company in a positive light

The ideal candidate will have, among other skills and abilities:

· Willing to submit to physical capability test

· Ability to follow safety guidelines

· Clean Motor Vehicle Record

· At least 21 years of age

· Willing to work at least 40 hours a week

· Proven record of delivering great customer service

· Can perform continuous lifting and maneuvering of heavy furniture

· Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to team members

· Track record of serving others and putting team goals first

· Owners mindset; takes ownership over everything within scope of responsibility

· Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems

· Adaptability; flexible to shifting priorities and a changing environment

· Desire to continuously improve
