Denco Family, Inc. is seeking a talented and highly-motivated individual to serve as our Treasury Accounting Specialist. This position supports the Accounting Manager and Controller as a member of the Accounting Department, ensuring that all deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. The Treasury Accounting Specialist performs a variety of cash accounting support tasks in an accounting department including:
- Promote Company Vision, Mission and Core Values.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations and work with members of the accounting, operations and executive team to ensure that all cash related transactions are accurately posted in the accounting system in a timely manner and reconcile to bank account activity/bank statements.
- Keep accurate records of all bank statements on a monthly basis
- Ensure that operations has proper supply of deposit slips and order as needed
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
- Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Investigating questionable data.
- Other various accounting projects as needed.
- Communicating and coordinating with the Operations team to resolve issues and systemize solutions.
- Degree in accounting or equivalent experience in computerized accounting functions preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting, preferably with a large to mid-sized company
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Mail, etc.)
- Must possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to details, ability to multitask, self-driven, highly organized, computer literate.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
- Must be honest, dedicated, self-motivated, efficient, and reliable.
- Basic familiarity with accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred).
- Skilled in data entry, 10-key, typing, filing and general office skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle a high volume of transactions and data entry with minimal errors.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Demonstrates good judgment and business reasoning.
- Must have sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in work area.
- Ability to engage in repetitive data entry at computer workstation.
- Requires professionalism and experience to interface with all levels of management and data processing and software vendors.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, promptness with deadlines, and thoroughness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and superior mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
