Job Description:

Our Space Operations Directorate is passionate about making America the undisputed leader in Space because we understand that ensuring our nation’s security for future generations depends on it. Parsons creates game changing space solutions by teaming highly respected subject matter experts with brilliant technologists. Are you an experienced Software Engineer with an interest in building compelling user interfaces? Do you want to be part of a team that is helping the government solve major national security challenges in the space domain? We need your help.

Our team is looking for an experienced front end software engineer with an enterprise software development background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the space community as a member of Parsons’ Space Operations Directorate. You will work with other software engineers, UI/UX specialists, and space analysts to provide interfaces for space mission operators, system administrators, and system testers.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an engineering field with at least 8 years technical experience. Relevant experience and certifications may be accepted in place of a degree.

  • JavaScript and Typescript development experience.

  • Experience using Angular for building web applications and user interfaces with component libraries.

  • Prior experience designing, developing, documenting, unit testing, and debugging front-end application software.

  • Familiar with client side state management (e.g. NgRx, Redux).

  • Knowledge and application of software design patterns.

  • Familiarity with static code analyzers.

  • Experience with running static application security test tools (OWASP and SonarQube).

  • Understanding of asynchronous and event-based programming.

  • Experience with containers and container management (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes).

  • Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members in both spoken and written English.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.

  • Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract.

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with middleware, e.g. GraphQL and Apollo Client.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages, e.g. Bash and Python.

  • Experience with Jest and JUnit for unit testing.

  • Java application development experience, specifically microservice architectures.

  • Familiarity with SQL commands and queries (PostgreSQL).

  • Previous experience with GitLab, SpringBoot, Kafka, and Git.

  • Secret Clearance

  • Security+ Certification

Salary Range:

$100,400.00 - $175,700.00
