Job Summary:

The Utility staff member’s primary role is to provide back up and support to the Bar and Kitchen staff during busy shifts to ensure that Second Rodeo is well maintained and each of our guests have a great experience.

Essential Job Functions:

· Maintain trash cans inside and out by emptying them when necessary throughout the shift.

· Maintain kitchen cleanliness during busy shifts by sweeping and mopping the floors along with emptying trash cans as necessary.

· Maintain restroom cleanliness inside and in our outdoor area. Ensure that paper towels, trash cans, and toilet paper are maintained throughout the shift.

· Run ice as needed to all areas of Second Rodeo.

· Maintain the cleanliness of the indoor and outdoor spaces by picking up trash and keeping the floors clean.

· Support the look of the Second Rodeo by arranging and placing tables and chairs back in their proper spots throughout the shift.

· Clean and organize the break area throughout the shift.

· Clean spills and empty/remove dog bowls as necessary to keep the outdoor space in good shape

· Watch out for spills during busy times, and help maintain dry floors and wet floors signs as necessary

· Check in with managers throughout the shift and ask where you might be able to help.

Reports to: Manager on duty

Qualifications

· Work experience in a restaurant/bar will be considered a plus

· Rubber soled closed toed shoes required

· Strong ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment

· Must be available to work high volume times: days & evenings Fri, Saturday & Sunday

· Positive attitude and excellent communication/listening skills

· Self-motivated to identify areas that need cleaning and/or fixing

· Works well under direction of others

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must be eligible to work in the United States

Other things to know about this job

· Second Rodeo does not permit any employee to consume alcohol at any Brain Storm Shelter Restaurant location, whether on- or off-duty.

· All employees are required to follow all local and state laws regarding the sale & service of alcohol.

· Employees are expected to wash their hands frequently during shifts and after all breaks.

· Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Position requires working a full shift on your feet.

· Position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions

· All employees must practice good personal hygiene to prevent food borne illnesses & create a clean working environment

· Position may require work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operation of phones, computers and other office equipment.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
