Utilization Review/Case Manager
Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.000001 | On Call | 8:00am to 4:30pm, some weekends required
Position Summary
The Utilization Review Case Manager RN monitors utilization practices from preadmission to discharge to assure cost-effective utilization practices, quality patient care, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The UR Case Manager also coordinates plans for discharges involving community resources and alternate levels of care to ensure timely and efficient case coordination in conjunction with members of the health care team.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or allied health field, preferred
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting - OR - at least 2 recent years of demonstrated utilization/case management experience in a recognized program
Licensure
- RN: Registered Nurse Licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start
Preferred Certifications
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- CCM: Certified Case Manager
- CPHM: Certified Professional Healthcare Management
