POSITION TITLE: Vehicle Specification Technician
SUMMARY: Responsible for editing and verifying various forms of data gathered on vehicles. Processes digital photos for databases. Compiles data to particular levels and maintains a database on the vehicles specifications and photos. Develops and maintains vehicle specification drawings using AutoCAD and/or other appropriate engineering software. Interacts will all phases of the data editing and gathering processes to support the various styles of measuring and anchoring equipment for all types of vehicles. Communicates with customers to answer questions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Edit vehicle specifications at various levels, from raw data, to revisions, to specifications, to final data formats for Genesis, UMS, General Specifications, and Body openings.
- Keep abreast of current trends and practices in vehicle measuring and anchoring
- Draw, edit, and verify specifications from edited and raw data.
- Edit digital photographs of specification points and anchoring using Photoshop and other software – and assign photos to the associated points.
- Work within a network of editing functions and maintain a database of edited vehicles.
- Assist in maintaining cross-reference database of vehicles noting changes to makes and models as they are introduced.
- Process digital photo database for Genesis 2 measuring system using specific programming for the process.
- Assist in measuring vehicles, as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of an AS degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or CAD/drafting is required.
- Must possess strong computer software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. AutoCAD and Photoshop are essential tools of the job.
- A background in collision repair or an understanding of collision theory is required
TRAVEL: Must be willing to travel as needed - including both domestic and international travel.
