Well-established animal hospital looking for a positive, skilled assistant to join our medical team. Candidate must have a great attitude, enjoy building relationships with and caring for clients, and have a high attention to detail and standard of care.

The right candidate is able to multitask, effectively communicate with others, comfortable working alone and in groups, and is available to work some weekend and evening shifts.

We are a busy companion animal practice that is moving toward more comprehensive care for our patients, first exam through senior care. For us, this shows with our partnership with our clients and our continual work to expand our services to better meet the needs of each life stage of our patients. We currently offer ultrasound and endoscopy services, partner with local specialists to provide advanced ultrasound, cardiac, and surgical services on site, and are in the process of becoming AAHA certified. Many of our staff are also Fear Free and AAFP certified.

Veterinary Assistant position is full time.

Compensation: $18.00-$23.00/hr DOE

Individual preferred to be able to perform the following duties:

  • Venipuncture from multiple sites
  • Intravenous catheter placement
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures
  • Aid doctors in medical exams, treatments, and diagnostics
  • Safe and effective restraint of cats and dogs of varying temperaments
