PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Looking for a Junior Video Production Specialist, with focus on engaging, impactful, and cinematic “storytelling”.

We are seeking a Junior Video Production Specialist to join our team. You will be assisting with shooting and editing a wide variety of videography deliverables in both a “run & gun” / “minimal & mobile” style and larger scale productions. This includes but not limited to promos, hands-on demos, testimonials, interviews, short stories, commercial work and assisting in our studio

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Research and adequately familiarize yourself with subject matter.
  • Develop the necessary connections to facilitate a production.
  • Schedule locations and talent for shoot.
  • Storyboard scenes based off concepts, scripts, b-roll footage.
  • Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for on location production.
  • Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment.
  • Search for and select the best possible audio, both music and sfx, to enhance the rich media experience.
  • Enforce properly organized and well-maintained collection of media gear.
  • Be the gatekeeper to our online channels through popular platforms, mainly Vimeo and YouTube.
  • Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to client.

  • Demonstrate independent decision making and conceptual thinking.
  • Helps to sustain and guide creative process.
  • Assists in maintaining any necessary documentation for a successful plan of production.
  • Assists in developing interview questions and storyboards.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Ability to configure, operate and maintain field audio, lighting and associated production equipment.


INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS
:

Collaborates with members of internal marketing team (Marketing, Creative Services, Communications, Public Affairs, Social Media, Web/Interactive Marketing, Video), as well as clients. Interfaces and collaborates with external vendors to facilitate filming and video editing.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in Adobe CC apps, specifically Premiere (After Effects a plus).
  • Strong foundation in design principles and fundamentals.
  • 3-5 years of experience is ideal, but not necessary based on next requirement.
  • Demonstrable videography skills with strong portfolio samples.


EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in videography, multimedia or related field, or experience equivalent.
