HonorHealth is a non-profit, local community healthcare system serving an area of 1.6 million people in the greater Phoenix area. The network encompasses six acute-care hospitals, an extensive medical group, outpatient surgery centers, a cancer care network, clinical research, medical education, a foundation, and community services with approximately 13,100 team members, 3,500 affiliated providers and nearly 700 volunteers. Responsibilities
Job Summary
This position identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations to support the mission, vision and values of HonorHealth. The position leads the Corporate and Events Fundraising division and is responsible for the oversight and promotion of teamwork from staff, hospital departments as well as donors and volunteers. The VP of Corporate and Events Fundraising is responsible for setting and achieving strategic targets and metrics of the annual Foundation fundraising goals.
Leverages external funding by identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and donors to support HonorHealth Foundation’s mission and goals. Works proactively with the Senior Vice President of Fundraising Development, President of the Foundation, executive leaders, physicians, Trustees, and the Foundation staff to direct the solicitation of funding from corporations and individuals specifically for Foundation events. Recruits, hires, onboards, coaches, mentors, and leads the team with clear direction and focus on the roles and responsibilities set to achieve strategic targets and metrics.
Participates in the development of a fundraising plan that reflects HonorHealth mission and Foundation priorities in conjunction with the Foundation executive team. Drives the event strategy and takes lead responsibility for the acquisition, retention, and growth of donors to reach annual revenue and margin targets. Reviews pricing policies and suggests ideas that drive greater revenue, efficiencies and effective resource allocation. Effective in contract negotiations to resolution. Is responsible for defining and developing HonorHealth Foundation’s event growth plan, including identification of key objectives, strategy, tactics, risks, and industry opportunities.
Works collaboratively and proactively with executive leaders and clinical staff to develop fundraising strategies that integrate all projects into the overall framework of endowment, capital and equipment needs, as well as programs and services. Supervises the direction and management of the corporate and events team to develop corporate relationships and deliver events. Ensures all projects are within budget and provide a high-quality execution. Reviews emerging methods to improve processes and procedures to deliver more efficient and profitable outcomes.
Acts as a representative of HonorHealth for existing corporate and event relationships also for the purpose of identifying new prospects and presenting proposals. Coordinates meetings with corporations and individuals including other key executives or physicians as appropriate. Actively participates in leadership/management meetings.
Utilizes the Foundation’s tracking system to monitor key performance indicators/goals and provides monthly reports to the SVP of Fundraising. Manages a stewardship plan to ensure all gifts and guidelines as well as reporting requirements are met.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Business Management, Communication, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management or closely related. Required
Experience
7 years in the field of fundraising, event management, data reporting OR similar experience in the hospitality industry Required
