Location: Atlanta, GA 30339
Position: Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $21.66/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: M-F 2:30P-11P (or until the job is complete for the day; may go over to finish orders)

Job Summary:
  • Effective product management in accordance to distribution center processes including – receiving, replenishing, picking, packing and shipping.
  • Accurate verification and completion of paperwork and of materials management and warehouse system steps for completion of the product distribution processes.
  • Performing proper inventory maintenance activities through quality control steps and adherence to distribution center policies and procedures.
  • Operating material handling equipment.
  • Performing delivery driver duties as needed.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in a warehouse distribution setting
  • Previous experience picking with a handheld device
  • Experience using hand-held scan devices in a warehouse or storeroom setting
  • OSHA or comparable certification with fork lift or lift truck experience in a warehouse setting. Certification must be with fork lift, cherry picker or lift.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Current DOT medical certification preferred and maintenance of an acceptable driving record throughout employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to unloading and receiving procedures for inbound deliveries.
  • Stocks and replenishes product effectively and in accordance with distribution center procedure.
  • Fills orders according to policy guidelines and productivity standards.
  • Improves and maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counts, effective MMIS and warehouse system utilization, and process improvement actions.
  • Operates material handling equipment effectively.
  • Performs delivery driver duties as needed in all types of PHDC delivery vehicles as appropriate for type and destination of delivery.
  • Maintains a safe and clean distribution environment
  • Maintains the integrity of the inventory through expiration checks and proper storage and stock rotations
  • Participate in an annual physical inventory.
  • Performs receiving functions using MMIS according to applicable policies and procedures.
  • Verifies accuracy of shipment, and works with procurement and/or requesters to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Replenishes product into inventory and/or delivers received products to requesters in an efficient and timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Ability to make basic arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately and to pay strict attention to detail in matching product to descriptive information.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures while demonstrating a positive, customer-oriented, team player attitude.
  • Must be able to stoop, lift, pull, push, and move goods with significant weight.
  • Basic Skill and ability to use MMIS and Microsoft Office applications.

At a minimum, a 7-year background check, education verification, employment verification, and drug screen will be conducted upon hire. Your suitability for employment is contingent upon successfully passing these required pre-employment screenings.
