Job description

Responsibilities:

• Welding, fabricating, & painting steel products like tanks, bridges, ships, pipes & more.
• Maintain welding equipment such as plasma cutter and torches.
• Be knowledgeable of welding codes and standards like AWS D1.1, AWS D1.3 & AWS D5.5.
• Use precision measuring tools like dial calipers and micrometers to measure lengths, widths and diameters.
• Measure the thickness of materials like the current paint layers on a painted steel structure.
• Operate a forklift.
• Read blueprints to understand complex layouts of large steel fabrications.
• Work with a team in a high-pressure, high-intensity environment.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and/or supervisors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dallas-Fort Worth, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
