POSITION: Account Receivable (AR) Specialist
REPORTS TO: AR Manager
LOCATION: Marietta, GA
JOB TYPE: Full Time - Direct Hire (no remote)
HOURS: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

JOB OVERVIEW
This opportunity is an integral part of the company's corporate accounts receivable team, supporting multiple locations and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handle a specific portfolio of multi-family (apartment industry) property management accounts
  • Perform soft collections via established relationships - contact via telephone, email and mail
  • Maintain accurate and up to date collection notes
  • Work with our account executive on their accounts
  • Researches payment discrepancies as well as reconcile payments
  • Process payments (check, credit card, ACH) and posts to customer accounts
  • Complies aging reports and statements
  • Will meet monthly with the AR Manager & CFO to discuss AR accounts (past due and skipped invoices)
  • Manages credit limits, processes credit applications, evaluates credit history
  • Performs other tasks as assigned. Such as sales tax payments, business licenses, processing credit memos, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • AR/Collection experience: 1-3 years prior experience with customer accounts
  • Knowledgeable with general accounting practices; such as general ledger reconciliation and journal entry
  • Credit experience (checking references, analyzing credit applications) preferable, but not required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical – able to reconcile account issues; must be able to analyze account information and find discrepancies
  • Efficient with computer skills; MS Excel (Intermediate level); able to correspond with emails, perform data input; Google; Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
  • Customer focused attitude; able to communicate well, both verbally & in writing
  • Able to work independently; or within a team setting; self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
