Fanatics is seeking a Deductions Analyst to coordinate research and resolution of wholesale deductions, along with implementing improvements to reduce the overall in-flow of deductions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to resolve deductions, specific to shortage claims, proof of delivery, pricing differences, damages, remaining balances, promotional allowances, and unknown chargebacks.
- Analyze and verify the validity of deductions by obtaining and reviewing documentation from customers to identify root causes.
- Dispute deduction timely back to customers, including in customer portals.
- Analyze and identify root causes of deductions and work with cross-functional teams to reduce/eliminate recurring deductions.
- Act as a liaison between customer and internal cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, and Customer Service) to ensure the timely clearing of chargebacks/deductions.
- Work closely with the Collections team, holding weekly meetings to discuss accounts and obtain repayment of denied chargebacks.
- Provide detailed reports to Account Managers and conduct monthly meetings to collaborate and identify best resolution to improve wholesale deductions.
- Assist in creating detailed reporting (weekly/monthly) to leadership and team members.
- Update and maintain customer tracking spreadsheets and documentation within Microsoft D365
- Collaborate on testing project implementations and onboarding new lines of business.
- Able to problem solve, think independently, and be persistent in bringing issues to conclusions to dispute deductions timely in customer portals.
We're excited about you, because you have:
- 1-3 years of experience in deduction, dispute resolution, or collections in a business-to-business environment
- Comprehension of accounting concepts including account reconciliation, debits/credits, and AR processes.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to build solid working relationships with co-workers and internal/external customers at all levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma required

- The ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while meeting assigned deadlines
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, and navigating customer online portals.
- Effective professional communication skills with all levels of management
- Able to analyze large data sets and make sound decisions using Microsoft tools such as VLookUp, and Pivot Table for reporting.
- The ability to deliver before deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
