Do you enjoy helping & educating others? If so, Modern Woodmen of America’s Advanced Sales department needs an Associate to provide sales support and education to our Regional Directors, Managing Partners and Financial Representatives across the United States. This includes conducting research and explaining more complex topics such as competitive product analysis and qualified plans.

What you would do:

  • Present solutions to our field force related to all the areas of planning featured in Modern Woodmen’s Planning for Life sales system.
  • Be aware of new and existing tax laws surrounding qualified plans, products, and industry trends. Help distribute that information to the department and to our field force.
  • Present at various Home Office schools for Modern Woodmen’s field force.
  • Travel to various regions and give presentations on products, planning and sales topics.
  • Conduct training webinars on products, planning and sales topics.
  • Work with other Home Office departments on various projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with the budgeting process and identify opportunities to minimize expenses.
  • Attend various webinars, conference calls, and industry conferences throughout the year to keep up to date on product and industry trends, changes in rules and regulations, sales ideas and concepts.

What we need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ related work experience, preferably in sales and/or experience communicating with a sales force.
  • Must hold current FINRA Series 6 and 63 or be able to pass these exams within 12 months.
  • Strong communication skills, especially public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a professional manner.
  • Anticipate and provide solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and resources.
  • Service oriented.

Additional information about this opportunity:

  • The annual pay range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
  • This position requires travel to regions across the United States. Estimated weeks of travel per year: 1-2weeks, with some weekend travel required. All travel expenses are paid by Modern Woodmen.
  • This is a hybrid position (3 days in office/2 days work from home (WFH) per week), located at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, IL. Must be able to work in the office 5 days per week for initial job training. Some WFH days during training would be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
  • This is a full-time position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM.
