About us

EAST WEST COLLEGE is a professional and supportive vocational school in Portland, OR, with a mission of educating and enriching our community through the art and science of massage. EWC provides comprehensive training in the arts and sciences required to pass massage board exams and begin practicing as a licensed massage therapist. Our graduates are highly sought after, and work in a variety of settings including private practice, medical offices, exercise/sport environments and spas.

We're looking for dynamic and engaging teachers for one or more in-person Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology course sections during our spring term (April 3 - June 24). Current available sections include:

• Mondays and Wednesdays, 8am - 11am
• Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30am - 2:30pm
• Fridays, 8am - 11am
• Fridays 11:30am - 2:30pm

Class sizes generally range from 10 to 16 adult students. Master's degree (or higher) in related field (nursing, chiropractic, naturopathy, physical therapy, etc.) Prior teaching experience preferred.

Ability to engage students in active learning and critical thinking, using lecture, hands-on learning, technology assisted learning, and small group activities. Excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Portland, OR 97201: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Master's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
