Ivy at Gastonia is looking for a caring, compassionate, and patient-focused Directorof Nursing (DON) to join our team. We are a small skilled nursing facility of50 dually certified beds in the Gastonia, NC area. Responsibilities:

• Assist Director of Nursing to set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.
• Assist Director of Nursing to develop, coordinate, and organize admissions, nursing, and patient care policies and procedures.
• Assist Director of Nursing to develop and implement new company policies and programs regarding best clinical practices and resident care plans.
• Maintain a high level of clinical competency, including on-going awareness of clinical best practices to align regulatory requirements and organizations strategic plans.
• May assume the duties of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding skilled nursing.
• Experience building a team of hard working and trustworthy healthcare professionals.
• Great communication skills with team members and family members.
• Excellent communicator with ability to handle concurrent tasks and responsibilities.
• Proven experience as a Nursing Manager.
