To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as an Assistant Program Manager, Aircraft Engines. The Assistant Program Manager, Aircraft Engines is part of a maintenance department team that is responsible for the continuous review of data with the focus of maintaining the company’s fleet of engines to a high degree of safety and reliability. This position covers a range of disciplines, including turbine engine/controls troubleshooting, investigations/reports, Merlin, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PDF usage, frequent communications within the maintenance department and outside vendors. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, a problem solver, and a self-starter. This position reports to the Manager, Powerplant.
Essential Duties:
- Daily review of Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) programs, Oil Consumption Monitoring, and Oil Debris Monitoring
- Daily interaction with Maintenance Operations Control (MOC), RON's and vendors
- Arrange scheduled/unscheduled engine replacements
- Work with vendors, occasionally via in-person meetings, supplying information and reviewing work scope and cost estimates
- Perform reliability investigations relating to basic engine and accessory failure events
- Participate in various reliability and financial meetings
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant license
- 5 years’ experience as an A & P Technician
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional knowledge of the AE3007A1 engine, including factory schooling
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Acrobat, and SharePoint
- Experience in technical writing
Work Environment:
- Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment
- Airport hangar environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
- Occasional travel may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
