We are looking for a Dynamic, Customer Service Minded Professional for a Assistant Manager position at our very busy Dallas Texas location. ESC Auto Group has provided Repair and Service for European Cars since 1980. We are the largest family-owned independent European Repair Shop in the United States. We are not franchised. The Owner Bob Saladna started repairing cars out of his mother's garage in 1979 and opened his first shop in 1980, and he still runs the company today. ESC understands that each shop needs the latest and best diagnostic equipment, which is why we has multiple diagnostic platforms at each location. We also understand that each shop location is slightly different which is why we allow each manager flexibility to manage their location differently. As we continue to expand thru Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta, and soon Nashville Tennessee, there will be plenty of opportunity for advancement. European Service Center offers a family atmosphere that makes for a great work environment.
Job Data:
Assigns and gives work directions to employees. Advises and recommends changes and improvements. Manages the processing of repair and warranty work. Manages day to day activities such as Payroll, Accounts Payable, Receivable, Parts Ordering, Open and Close of the Shop, Writing Up Repair Orders, Cashing Out Customers, etc.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Service Department Operations:
  • Assigns jobs and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare & Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness in concerning parts, materials, and labor.
  • Directs and assist in the diagnosis of problems for technicians and apprentices and provides instruction as required.
  • Manage all aspects of the Service Department.
  • fulfilling the responsibilities of the Service Manager.
  • Promotes loyalty and customer goodwill and protects company image.
  • Assist in the appraisal of repair work coming into the shop.
  • Manages all customer concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment for all technicians.
  • Perform other duties and functions of Management in line with the objectives of the shop.
Customer Service:
  • Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns.
  • Be aware of and track "comebacks" and make sure the problem is corrected to the customer and dealership’s satisfaction.
  • Greet customers immediately in a courteous manner.
  • Treat customers fairly and with honesty, and demonstrate our commitment to.
  • superior customer service and ethical business practices.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:
  • Must have an outgoing, friendly personality and superior communication & customer service skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • preferred but not required.
  • Ability to speak effectively on one or before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
