Full Job Description – AutoCad Drafter
Pay Range: Starting at $21.00/hr
FiberTel, LLC. locally grown in Utah’s Art City and has rapidly expanded over the Pacific Northwest. We are currently hiring for our Hillsboro location.

Job Description:
The AutoCad Drafter will provide support to the engineering department by preparing detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams. This position will use CAD equipment in creating, updating, and modifying maps. She/he will make copies of drawings and maintain information regarding changes to database.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Create and revise production drawings
- Import and integrate GIS and GPS data into CAD
- Review drawings to ensure compliance
- Assist in developing survey maps and layouts when necessary
- Comply with company standards for CAD operations
- Inform engineers on job progress and updates
- Assist the Engineering department with Framework
- UTOPIA Experience (Preferred)
Position Qualifications:
- Strong competencies in AutoCAD Map
- Knowledge of GIS programs/data and how they interface with AutoCAD
- Ability to develop and design, as built and schematic drawings from GIS/GPS data
- Ability to collect GPS coordinates using Trimble
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of telecommunications networks, equipment, and unit types
- Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, Word
Working Conditions:
This job operates in both office and field environments with occasional exposure to noise and other hazards. This job routinely uses standard office equipment. Occasionally spend time outside the office when meeting clients or need to check on vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
