As the Business Intelligence Developer Analyst you will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the organization to develop and improve data processes, design and build workflows and optimizations, and build and manage the development of data and analyses that will help drive the decision making for our health care teams.
This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that help develop a data-driven culture throughout the organization; supporting agency databases; and providing direction, oversight, and implementation of code on new development projects.

- At Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW) the philosophy behind our compensation efforts is to foster workplace equity by aligning pay and benefit structures with our Agency’s mission and values. PPPSW recognizes that decisions about pay and benefits have significant impact on staff, and we work diligently to ensure all positions are compensated competitively as compared to other similar positions in the community. The Affiliate establishes compensation supported by a position description that identifies competencies, duties, responsibilities and qualifications. In alignment with the Agency culture, PPPSW will strive to communicate openly and transparently about the goals of the Agency and the design of the compensation policies. The Agency will ensure the compensation program is administered in a manner that is consistent with Agency’s value of pay equity.
The hiring rate for this position is: $115,000 - $130,000/annually
In this role, you'll get to:
- Develop and improve the automation of data processes, creation of reports and dashboards in Power BI, with focus on creating a single-source-of-truth for the agency.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the agency to execute on multiple projects, and ensure that relevant BI insights are integrated into the decision making process of all relevant teams and the organization as a whole.
- Design and build workflows and optimizations using the Epic Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Caboodle, and/or Radar modules.
- Synthesize actionable, impactful business insights from a data-sets that includes clinical, marketing, development, Humanity, Paylocity etc.
- Build and manage the development of interactive data visualizations, reports, and ad-hoc analyses that help drive decision making for access & innovation and health care teams.
- Conceive of, implement and maintain scalable data solutions that simplify reporting, expand access to insights, and support ongoing analysis.
- Provide detailed analysis to identify trends, interpret patterns and relevant issues associated with the data.
- Examine and explore data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering insights which in turn can provide competitive advantage for our organization.
- Provide leadership in the scoping, design, development, and maintenance of various technical solutions required in the management of data/reporting and decision-making tools used throughout the organization.
- Translate business opportunities into analytic deliverables that drive actionable insights and have direct bottom line impact.
- Respond to and resolve data performance, accessibility, and integrity issues.
- Create test and development environments, to validate changes outside of production.
- Ability to both lead and serve as a team member on projects relating to data and data systems.
- Develop applications and tools to enable end users to work more efficiently and effectively with their daily tasks.
- Meet and communicate with stakeholders to receive feedback for the continued improvement of reports, applications, and systems.
What we're looking for:
- 3-5 years of development experience (OOP/Data)
- Strong SQL querying skills
- Experience w/ data manipulation and presentation
- Understand of ETL/data warehousing methodologies
- Experience developing reports/dashboards in Power BI
- Strong analytical and business insights skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting
- Experience with Python/R or other statistical packages
- Advanced Power BI skills
- Experience in Epic Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Caboodle, and/or Radar modules
