EAG is starting the search for a Business Intelligence Developer, responsible for the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end BI Solutions, to join our Outsourcing team.

The person in this role is expected to demonstrate daily the appropriate analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below and generate quality results. Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate to individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the design, development and implementation of end-to-end Business Intelligence Solutions with Azure and the Microsoft BI Stack.
• Design and deployment of enterprise data warehouse solutions and dimensional models.
• Develop and implement Data Engineering Solutions and ETL Processes with Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Develop and implement Reporting, Analytics and Data Visualization Solutions with Microsoft Reporting Services, Power BI, and Spotfire.
• Develop and implement Analysis Services Tabular models including DAX calculations.
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather and understand solution requirements.
• Participate in the definition and revision of development best practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end performance issues and provide solutions for near real-time reporting where required.
• Verify data integrity and report accuracy ensuring client satisfaction.
• Assist in identifying trends in Business Intelligence and staying at the forefront of technology.
• Provide exceptional client service while building relationships with clients and internal team members.

POSITION, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Qualifications):

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years’ experience in data warehousing, modeling, end-to-end BI solutions.
• Strong understanding of BI Solution Architectural approaches and data models, e.g., Kimball.
• Strong understanding of BI Technology Stacks (Microsoft), Data Engineering Solutions, Data modeling, and Software Engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud technology stacks (preferably Azure.)
• Advanced experience with Microsoft ETL tools (Azure Data Factory and SSIS), the SQL Server platform, and the Microsoft BI Stack (Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Power BI.)
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and query optimization techniques and approaches.
• Advanced experience in the development and implementation end-to-end BI and Data Engineering solutions.
• Good understanding of Reporting, Analytics, and Data Visualization Solutions and reporting and BI Analytics Technologies (Power BI, Spotfire, Reporting Services.)
• Exposure to one or more Object Oriented or Procedural Programming languages (C#, Java, Python.)
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of oil and gas Accounting and Land ERP a plus.
• Our ideal candidate is Houston-based but we will consider candidates outside of Houston who are available to travel up to 25% of the time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
