JOB DESCRIPTION:
Deliver brilliant guest service each day, each night and every time in-between by
championing our Service Philosophy. Creates a welcoming, playful and
thoughtful service environment. Sell and service clients to meet and exceed
budgeted total room revenue goals. Responsible for all Business Transient accounts, including Marriott National Accounts and Local Negotiated Accounts and will promote the hotel through facilitating all transient RFP's through Marriott National Sales, travel agency visits, phone solicitation and outside calls and Hotelligence Report solicitation. Will monitor and report on transient production

RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITES

3. Meet and exceed budgeted room revenue as
outlined by the hotel's overall budget. Develop business transient market Local Negotiated Accounts, Travel Agency
Visits, and Hotelligence
Report solicitation. Follow the Marketing Plan
action items utilizing the following sales protocols. Individual weekly and monthly goals will be followed as outlined
in the Sales Office Standards and Procedures.
a. Face to Face Appointments and Outside Sales
Calls
b. Telemarketing/Prospecting
c. Site Inspections and On-Site Entertainment
d. Networking Functions related to Market
Segment
e. Client Appreciation Parties
f. Local High Rise Infiltration and Exposure
g. Trade Organization Participation
h. Internal Communication
i. Servicing of Accounts as needed
j. Follow-up on Leads and Referrals within 4
hours of receipt
4. Responsible for timely and accurate responses
to National Sales RFP's.
5. Responsible for research of business and
competition hotel usage to shift market share into the hotel.
6. Follow prescribed Action Calendar in
Marketing Plan to ensure your assigned activities are completed in a timely manner.
7. Daily, weekly and monthly tracking of
transient account production and reporting as required.
8. Assist in developing Marking Plan for
following year for your market segment(s).
9. Assist in maintaining a team effort with
fellow sales staff members as well as with other departments within the hotel.
10. Actively sell and promote all amenities and
outlets of the hotel
11. Maintain and create account lists through
accurate account entry and proper trace systems to follow up in a timely manner.
12. Respond promptly to all inquiries, lead
referrals, and existing
clients; resulting in documentation of all
communication preferably within 4 hours.
13. Generate new business through personal
contacts as described in
the above list of activities.
14. Communicate and report all activities on a
timely basis to the Director of Sales by maintaining the following:
a. Active and accurate accounts and trace system
using sales software
b. Monthly Review of individual sales progress
c. Attendance and active participation at weekly
sales meeting
15. Maintain working knowledge of all other
departments in the hotel in order to work in unison with all departments.
16. Maintain working knowledge of all promotions
and maintain up to date training as directed
by the brand and through the hotel.
17. Develop knowledge of the competition to
better aid in the solicitation of accounts and network with industry peers to increase referral business.
18. Follow-up with all clients before, during
and after all meetings by up-keeping a current trace system through written, verbal and personal communication with
clients.
19. Meet with clients on property during
meetings and conduct pre-con meetings as necessary.
20. Keep abreast of all in-house functions.
21. Exemplify the hotel's Standard Code of
Conduct and all other regulations established by management and Employee Handbook.
23. Be completely knowledgeable of hotel's
emergency procedures as instructed by hotel management.
24. Be familiar with current marketing programs
of the hotel with the Director of Marketing
25. Actively represent the hotel in a positive
manner at all times in the community.
26. Continually monitor, update and maintain
Transient Production
27. Monitor your Department's and individual
market segments revenue pace vs. actual on the Manager's Daily Report.
28. Review guest list in house/arrivals report
to be aware of potential company business to target within assigned market segments.
29. Active participation in daily sales stand up
meeting and weekly sales & staff meetings.
30. Management reserves the right to amend this

31. Lead experience as instructed by the hotel
leaders.

1. Must be able to communicate in the primary
language of the hotel.
2. Must wear proper uniform/dress at all time
and be well groomed.
3. Must maintain flexible schedule to
accommodate hotel business and networking functions.

ESSENTIAL

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand or sit for an entire shift.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, push and
pull.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Ability to work in front of a computer monitor
for extended periods of time.

·
Ability to tolerate moderate temperature
changes in the building.

·
Ability to handle repetitive motion of the
wrists, hands and fingers.

ADDITIONAL

QUALIFICATIONS:
·
Communicate in the primary language of the hotel.

·
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a hotel environment
preferred.

·
Display the proper uniform/dress at all times and be well groomed.

·
Be flexible since we are running a 24/7 hotel operation.

·
Empathy towards customers and colleagues.

·
Pride and strong attention to detail.

·
Polished personal presentation with warm, confident and hospitable
personality.

·
Must be able to arrive to work in a timely, consistent and
