Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling and substance use treatment to clients; provide individual and group therapy; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for the development of treatment plans and treatment plan reviews.
  • Provide Supervision to staff and student interns in the CCBHC.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner; oversee the day-to-day need of client population (i.e., stipends, requests, job functions, routine disciplinary measures, etc.).
  • Ensure that the daily schedule of groups, activities are carried out; attend meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide adults with person-centered substance use treatment, rehabilitation, and mental health services
  • Complete required documentation in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and community partners to assist clients in achieving their treatment and recovery goals
  • Coordinate client care through close involvement with hospitals, substance use treatment facilities, probation, and parole, etc.
  • Complete psychosocial, substance abuse and other treatment related assessments
  • Collaborate with the client in the creation of individualized service plans, and crisis/relapse prevention plans
  • Use evidence based individual and group treatments in the areas of substance abuse and mental health to address client needs (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, trauma -informed care)
  • Identify or develop substance abuse, mental health, and physical health group curricula to support recovery

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Master’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences preferred; LMHC or LCSW
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, and techniques of individual and group counseling, substance use services and harm reduction.
  • Knowledge of the principles of recording and report writing.
  • Multicultural, bilingual highly desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
