Cell Tower Technician I

Description:

Ripple Effect Consulting is seeking talent for a Tower Technician I position. This role will work under direct supervision to perform maintenance and construction of tower mounted assets, follow preventive maintenance routines, complete quality control inspections on new builds, and trouble shoot and diagnose problems with faulty tower mounted components. This position will continually participate in ongoing efforts to enhance customer satisfaction, company profit and personal job mastery. All work shall be conducted in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.

What you will do:

• Install, maintain, repair, remove or retrofit wireless systems (antennas, microwave dishes, feed-lines, ice shields, etc.)
• Maintain operational communications throughout a multi-state network, using safe equipment and hand power or specialty tools
• Ability to transport equipment to and from work locations, including remote mountain tops.
• Design and fabricate tower hardware and accessories
• Ability to work at extreme heights
• Ability to kneel, crouch, balance, climb, crawl, and lift heavy objects, up to 80lbs.
• Recognize safety hazards, and perform duties in a safe manor, in compliance with company policy
• Assist in the testing of sites, including trouble shooting
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately and completely
• Maintain professional working attitude with co-workers and customers

What you will bring:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a federal background check, 5-panel drug screen, and sex offender list search, per safety and federal contract requirements
• Basic hand tools and appropriate clothing for diverse weather conditions
• Ability to travel for 2-4 weeks at a time
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a physically demanding role, such as construction or technical installations
• One year of telecom industry experience
• Previous Tower Rescue/Safe Rigging/RF Awareness/OSHA 10/CPR & First Aid training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Castle Rock, CO 80109: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• OSHA 10 (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
