Michael Baker International, Inc. seeks Civil Engineer II in Moon Township, PA for bridge engineering projects.Experience: 6 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Bridge Engineering, or related. Requires skills and experience to include: Bridge design/analysis; Structural Design and Mechanics; Finite element analysis; Microsoft Office Products; Midas Civil, Midas FEA/NX, or PennDOT engineering programs; Structural drafting and plan preparation using Adobe, Bluebeam, Bentley MicroStation, and AutoCAD; and Familiarity with AISC and AASHTO.
Job duties: Under limited supervision, the Civil Engineer II position will plan, design, and analyze data on civil engineering projects such as roads, airports, bridges, pipelines, tunnels and water and sewage systems. Prepare moderately complex studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports and supporting documentation. Communicate with clients regarding project issues. Prepare construction documents/plans, calculations, reports and other documentation to support bridge design. Prepare quantities, construction cost estimates and detailed project technical specifications. Perform structure analysis and design of conventional and complex bridges from design through construction. Review bridge designs to ensure accuracy with design codes and client requirements. Define scope of work, proposal production and implementing market initiatives.
