As a Clinical Review Specialist (CRS), the work you do every day makes a difference in the lives of our patients by reviewing their Plan of Care and Oasis for accuracy and compliance.

HOW YOU'LL WORK:
You’ll be responsible for the overall coordination of the day-to-day clinical workflow. Responsible for reviewing the Plan of Care and Oasis chart for accuracy and compliance. Make modifications as needed to maximize HHRG. Responsible for the provision of quality services according to acceptable standards of practice and continually monitors the services provided.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Operations: Review coded 485 initial/recertification and evaluation documentation orders as they appear in workflow. Review medication profile and calendar schedule. Review 485/POC to include accurate ICD-10 coding.
• Detail: Ensure accuracy on coding, OASIS and orders by the field clinicians.
• Collaboration: Function as a resource for clinicians, internal staff and physicians. Receive and responds to calls/notifications regarding client charts and collaborates with clinician as necessary.
• Outcomes: Meet the objective of HHRG, Quality Measures, and Process Measures.
• Policies: Understand and practice agency policies and procedures
• Compliance: Perform workflow and data reporting in accordance with CMS guidelines.

HARD & SOFT SKILLS:

• Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
• Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions.
• Accurate and efficient data entry is essential.
• Technical skills with the ability to learn and use different software programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensures to meet business needs of the department, including but not limited to: OH, FL, MI, VA, WV
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the health care industry
• Home health care experience preferred
• Basic coding and Oasis review is a plus
• Knowledge of guidelines governing home health agencies.
• Knowledge and adherence to CMS Rules and Guidelines, Coding Rules, Conventions, and Guidelines
• Knowledge and adherence to Oasis Rules and Guidelines
• Capable of all physical demands.
