Dominion Diagnostics is the premier provider of comprehensive clinical quantitative urine drug testing, medication monitoring, and support services nationwide. Serving hundreds of clients in a variety of medical specialties, we provide actionable information to improve patient care and medical outcomes in the treatment of Addiction Medicine and Chronic Pain. The position is hybrid with the primary location being in North Kingstown, RI.
Controller:
The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with the Accounting, Finance, and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) teams, as well as all company departmental teams to maximize financial capital returns through analysis and the establishment of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team which will have three direct reports (Senior Accountant, Staff Accountant, and Senior Accounts Payable Specialist) to start with an opportunity to expand the team as the business grows.
- Drive, manage, and document month-end close processes, GAAP accounting, and financial statement reporting.
- Improve and shorten the close cycle and account reconciliation timelines.
- Document and maintain all accounting policies and procedures (including revenue recognition, lease accounting, inventory, etc.);
- Maintain general ledger accounts, department mapping, item, and location codes.
- Administer treasury functions including cash flow management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt covenant management, and equity reconciliations.
- Partner with all company departments (Sales, Marketing, Lab & Field Operations, Human Resources, IT, etc.) to manage and deliver various department financial reports and budget vs actual reports.
- Partner with Human Resources for payroll process management and systems (outsourced);
- Develop and maintain inventory control procedures, cost accounting, and functional reporting.
- Manage all financial, governmental, and 401k audits.
- Manage tax-related matters with support from external tax firm.
- Oversee fixed asset tracking and reporting.
- Foster a collaborative work environment across the enterprise.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in financial operations with 3+ years of management experience preferred.
- Robust Excel and PowerPoint skillset for effective analysis and presentations to the executive team
- Systems implementation experience preferred.
- Microsoft GP, NetSuite, and PowerBI experience a plus.
- Healthcare and Lab experience a plus
