Job Description
This position provides support for the graduate programs in nursing, including masters and doctoral programs, to assure quality service to students and attainment of defined outcomes. To provide administrative support to the School of Nursing Graduate Programs to include but not limited to the following activities: coordinator of admissions data/applications for prospective students; maintain data bases on current and graduated students; coordinate student services related to the admission, progression and graduation process; participate in recruitment activities for the graduate programs; serve as a liaison for the graduate student organization.

Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. High level of computer competency in the areas of database management, desktop publishing, and analyzing data from spreadsheet using MS Office (Access, Publisher, Excel and Word). Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a multi-task environment. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of accuracy.

Knowledge of programmatic and administrative requirements in guiding graduate students and the student organization. Previous experience in academics in higher education. Experience in graduate education. Certification and/or training in administrative office procedures with some college preferred. Experience in online large databases.
Conditions of Employment
