SUMMARY

The Colleague Benefit Analyst will be responsible for ongoing benefit maintenance related to self-insured health benefit offerings as well as voluntary benefit offerings. The Colleague Benefit Analyst will be a primary point of contact as the administrator for the TriNet benefits pertaining to colleagues. The Colleague Benefit Analyst will be expected to work closely with the team and Executive Director to assist in testing technology, developing necessary processes, completing process documentation, and developing benefits training if necessary. The Colleague Benefit Analyst must be able to work and communicate effectively with all TriNet colleagues to effectively assess any escalated requests by analyzing data and conducting necessary research to perform root cause analysis and provide resolution.

Essential duties/responsibilities

  • Analyze, implement, and administer TriNet's benefit programs including, but not limited to, health and welfare plans, retirement plans, voluntary benefit programs, wellness programs, and discount programs
  • Administer the full suite of benefits for our U.S., India and Canada employees, including supporting annual open enrollment (communications and presentations)
  • Monitor the Flex 401(k) Plan and other benefit programs to ensure accurate and compliant plan operations, including payroll processing
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with broker partner and third-party vendors to manage full suite of benefits, processes and renewals
  • Stay current in the benefits industry by reviewing programs and trends, changes in legislation/regulation, and/or advancements in technology to make recommendations for changes and improvements
  • Monitor and make updates to the employee benefit and wellness intranet site
  • Collaborate with the payroll, finance teams and other key stakeholders for payroll reporting, payments, deductions, invoice processing, and reconciliations
  • Respond to colleague open issue and escalated cases with a high emphasis on timeliness and quality
  • Process medical support orders, evidence of insurability reports, billing discrepancy reports, and/or ensure compliance with state specific benefit coverage regulations based on report output
  • Conduct analysis, audit and evaluate escalated errors
  • Provide input and review of accuracy on training materials when necessary

Job requirements and qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience.

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):

• Benefits Certification preferred but not required

  • Be able to provide process guidance and be able to document new processes
  • Think innovatively and lead in planning and execution of Colleague Benefit Administration initiatives to enhance TriNet’s value proposition
  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with internal groups to ensure effective and efficient resolution of colleague facing issues
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and influence others in pursuit of company goals.
