Your Job as an Admissions Counselor:

TheAdmissions Counseloris responsible for responding to inquiry calls, scheduling assessments, providing appropriate clinical screening of potential admissions, providing appropriate referrals, and interfacing with Assessment and Referral staff/Physicians/Managed Care organizations/Insurance companies and the Business Office.

Schedule/Available Shifts:

We have daily shifts that allow our employees to have stable schedules and enjoy quality time away from the facility. Flexible hours available for Full time, Part-time, or PRN & for Days, Nights, or Overnights.

Admissions Counselor Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical assessment of patient during intake.
• Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures.
• Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources.
• Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment.
• Coordinate with referral sources.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a social services field required.
• Master's degree in a social services field (psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, health administration, nursing) or RN preferred.
• 3+ years experience in mental/behavioral health working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity preferred.
• Experience in the managed care pre-certification process, level of care assessments and utilization preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current RN license, CAC, or other clinical counseling or therapy license as designated by the state in which the facility operates

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

Experience:

• Behavioral health: 2 years (Required)
• mental/behavioral health: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• LPC (Preferred)
• LMSW (Preferred)
• RN License (Preferred)
