POSITION OVERVIEW (office-based in Rosemont, with hybrid remote flexibility; no relocation assistance is being offered)
Execute graphic design (PowerPoints, PDFs, other visual and written content formats), simple video and digital platform requests in collaboration with DMI staff and outside contractors. Provide subject matter expert (SME) support for newsletter content managers. Reports to the Vice President of Corporate Communications.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud by content owners
- Assess opportunities for design tweaks and process enhancements to improve email performance
- Analyze email performance and suggest improvements based on KPIs, best practices
- Work with in-house and agency creative teams to design and create visual collateral
- Assist in review process of production files maintained in department according to the DMI retention plan.
- Create print and digital assets for internal and business partner programs, meeting and trade show events, including (but not limited to): handouts, web invites, large and small format signage, logos, PowerPoints, kit materials, brochures, etc.
- Execute simple video editing needs (adding titles, speaker names, editing length, inserting graphic cards, charts, adding music, etc.)
- Assist with coordinating creative support as needed
- Support small production projects (i.e. Awards, Certificates, Meeting Name Plates, Stationary, Note Cards, etc.) by creating layout, design and proof in coordination with the Creative Support Manager
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
Required Experience: Two to five years of creative and print production experience in the following areas:
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Developing creative assets in diverse formats (e.g., print, video, imagery, GIFs, memes, etc.)
- Working with outside design and production vendors
- Adhering to design and print production schedules, including timelines, deadlines, etc.
- Maintaining department priorities and thriving in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Experience
Photoshop editing and correctionsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient understanding of current software programs:
- Microsoft office – with strong PowerPoint design skills
- Adobe suite – emphasis on:
o Illustrator
o Photoshop
o InDesign
o Premiere Pro
o Worked with Canva in the past
- Design skills:
- Typography
- Layout
- Logo creation
- Good understanding of time management
- Video editing skills
- Brand management experience
- Able to assemble print-ready files
- Excellent oral, written and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- High quality customer service proficiency dealing with internal and external affiliates
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks, work under tight deadlines and demonstrate strong team building skills
- Travel capability and overtime required, as needed
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Familiarity with After Effects and Lightroom
- Intermediate photography skills to support internal needs headshots and product shots (preferred)
- Intermediate videography skills to support internal needs such as video shorts, executive messaging, skits/segments for internal messaging, etc. (preferred)
