Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for CSA Field Engineer opportunities for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.

Position Title: CSA Field Engineer

The subcontractor will provide field engineering expertise to the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project as a CSA Field Engineer. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.

Duties:
Provide field engineering support to the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project as a CSA Field Engineer. Primary responsibilities include provide technical assistance on matters relating to construction operations.
  • Perform Constructability Reviews on the project.
  • Provide technical assistance on matters relating to civil / earthwork.
  • Provide technical assistance on matters relating to structural steel.
  • Provide technical assistance on matters relating to concrete.
  • Provide technical assistance on matters relating to Rigging.
  • Constructability, oversight to support SRPPF construction efforts.
Subcontractor must successfully complete the duties assigned above, as demonstrated during the period of performance and verified by the service provider’s manager or designee on a weekly basis.
Subcontractor shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of SRNS, and the operating policies and principles. The Subcontractor is accountable for the execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and required specifications for the project.

Scope includes but is not limited to:
  • Provide leadership to the AWP team and guidance through the development and execution of the AWP program creating a positive work environment.
  • Manage and develop implementation content in the areas of Advanced Work Packaging, Workface Planning, and Information Management.
  • Ensure the AWP process requirements are being implemented properly throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Support Engineering, Procurement, and Construction develop AWP practices imbedded in their standard process.
  • Facilitate periodical AWP Program and tool time studies to measure the success of the program.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement AWP

Work Schedule:
Work schedule will be a nominal 40-hour work week but can be part-time or with interruption between on-site requirements dependent on the support requirements necessary for the project.

Area Security Access:
An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Subcontract personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared candidate may be required to apply for a DOE clearance.
