New Hanover County is looking for a Custodian to join the Facilities Management Department. Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Cleaning floors and stairwells, entryways, hallways, offices, and break rooms
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, and restocking of restrooms
  • Removing and disposing of trash
  • Monitoring/reporting equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs of facility

Hours:
Monday - Friday
Some shifts include evenings and weekends.
Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations. Building location assignment may vary depending on the needs of the department.

Employment Type:
Full-time, non-exempt

Salary Information:

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Valid North Carolina Driver's License
  • Education through the 8th grade and 1 year of custodial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
