Customer Service Representative (Part-time)
Job description
Description: Assist in the administrative tasks supporting the in processing and out processing of Service Members and Department of State Employees Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) processed for shipment and/or storage under the Global Privately Owned Vehicle Program (GPC).
Duties and Responsibilities (Primary):
- Perform a combination of clerical tasks to support business or administrative operations, to include creating and maintaining electronic and hard copy records and files, receiving, preparing or verifying documents, searching for and compiling information and data, preparing reports and other general administrative duties.
- Greet customers, provide information, direct activities and queries and offer assistance.
- Follow a number of specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive document file.
- Assist site manager and VPC staff
- Involve simple posting to individual accounts, opening mail, calculating and posting charges to departmental accounts, operating basic office equipment.
- Respond to routine request by e-mail, phone, in person, or by correspondence.
- Follow/enforce all safety policies and procedures/protocols.
- Participate in information sessions/classes/training when provided.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform preliminary vehicle inspections.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills:
- Must speak, read, and write English
- Strong attention to detail
- Good oral and written communications
- Customer-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Education/Certificates/Licenses:
- High School Diploma or GED
Other Qualifications/Requirements:
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Pay Scale
Charleston, $15.00/hour plus $4.80/hour in benefits (up to 40 hours per week).
Vacation: based on length of time employed
1 Year – 2 weeks
8 Years – 3 weeks
15 Years – 4 weeks
10 Federal Holidays
