Job Summary:
The Data Analyst II position is an experienced analyst that provides data insights to support institutional planning and decision making. This position will provide reporting information to both internal and external sources by writing report queries, cleaning and mining data and analyzing the results. The Data Analyst II provides reporting solutions to support university operations, monitors key-performance indicators, ensures data integrity of reports/reporting systems and generates visualizations for data-informed decision making. The Data Analyst II assists in the creation of data models and the forecasting university enrollment. This position will be the main point of contact for the centralized Report/Data Request process for the entire University.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • As the experienced data analyst in UAR, mines data to find meaning for end-users. Assists in enrollment forecasting and identifies patterns and trends to aid university planning.

  • Provides training and audits reporting of the Data Analst I. Provides technical and statistical support for campus wide research, accreditation (including HLC accreditation), assessment and other University initiatives.

  • Coordinates and compiles the collection of accurate institutional data to fulfill state and federal reporting requirements, marketing surveys, and responds to requests from other agencies, organizations, or individuals.

  • Manages the centralized data and report request process. Collaborates with university staff to gather data in response to ad-hoc requests, accreditation and additional reporting. Works with the appropriate subject matter experts to document changes and coordinate users' reporting needs.

  • Documents business user issues, business metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), report definitions, and maintain the quality of the data dictionary (metadata) for the BI solution.

  • Develops end user training on new or revised procedures for the BI solution, processes, and /or systems.

  • Understand and research internal business processes and conducts best practices analysis. This may result in review, creation, realignment of written procedures and processes.

  • Support the BI Analytics Developer in UAR in developing reports using SQL and Power BI Report Server.

  • Perform duties as necessary to support the University Analytics and Reporting department and the Regis University mission.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (necessary for essential duties)

Experience:

Baccalaureate degree in business, information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of the University's business processes, management systems and operational priorities

Ability to learn basic data warehousing and BI concepts, including dimensional data.

Education:

Baccalaureate degree in business, computer science, analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master's Degree preferred.

Pay Rate:
$54,600 to $58,600 / annually commensurate with qualifications
